Nonlinear Integer Programming for Solving Preventive Maintenance Scheduling Problem for Cogeneration Plants with Production

Preventive maintenance (PM) is a program with activities created at determined interval or according to certain principles, designed reduce the likelihood of failure deterioration item performance. This aims improve overall reliability and system availability. In this research, preventive schedule (PMS) was for electricity desalination water in power plants, subject meeting relevant constraints. The proposed methodology used generate PMS boilers, turbines, distillers. A nonlinear integer programming (NLIP) model employed address problem. results method were compared station Kuwait. better terms volume production gap between available demand order continue providing consumers without shortage event breakdown equipment. It produces an improvement 12.12% 16.58% respectively, electricity. Furthermore, sensitivity robustness analysed by increasing duration some equipment, demand, adding various additional conditions. addition, comparison conditions binary problem computer time search optimal solution carried out, where provided reasonable time. Among most important benefits that user can obtain technique are extending life efficiency, reducing expenses.
